Privacy Policy
How SOMOS collects, uses, and protects information across Booker, Solo, and Projects.
This Privacy Policy describes the processing of personal information through SOMOS websites, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). SOMOS provides software for business scheduling, customer relationships, project operations, invoices, and related workflows. This policy covers SOMOS’s own operations; businesses using SOMOS may have additional privacy policies for their own customers.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:
- Account and contact details: names, business names, email addresses, telephone numbers, login identifiers, and subscription details.
- Business and customer records: appointments, service details, projects, quotes, invoices, customer contacts, messages, and information entered by business users.
- Payment-related data: transaction status, amounts, billing identifiers, and processor references. Card payment details are processed by payment providers such as Stripe; SOMOS does not need to store complete card numbers for normal Stripe Checkout transactions.
- Technical information: device/browser details, IP addresses, usage logs, security events, and approximate location inferred from network information.
- Connected-account information: calendar availability and event data when you choose to connect supported calendar services.
- Support information: details you send when requesting assistance.
2. How information is used
We use information to provide and maintain the Services, manage subscriptions, process and reconcile payments, schedule appointments, enable customer communication, synchronize connected services, prevent fraud and unauthorized access, provide support, improve reliability, and comply with law.
3. Business customers and their clients
Business subscribers control much of the information they enter about their own clients and employees. Where SOMOS processes that information on a business’s behalf, that business is responsible for its collection notices and instructions, subject to applicable law and its agreement with SOMOS. Clients with questions about an appointment or record should normally contact the business that collected their data.
4. Providers and disclosures
We may share information with providers performing hosting, authentication, database, email, payment, calendar integration, analytics/security, and customer-support functions, and with connected services you enable. Current infrastructure includes providers such as Supabase, Cloudflare, Resend, and Stripe. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the Services, or in connection with a business transfer, subject to applicable protections. We do not sell personal information in exchange for money.
5. Retention and security
We retain information for as long as necessary to operate accounts, support legitimate business needs, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by record type. We use technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
6. Your choices and privacy requests
You may request access, correction, deletion, or information about the personal data we control by contacting support@usesomos.com. Certain data may need to be retained for legal or operational reasons. For information held by a business subscriber about its own clients, we may refer the request to that subscriber. California residents and other users may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws; we will respond as required by law.
7. Calendar and third-party integrations
If you connect Google Calendar or other services, we access the information required to provide the features you authorize, such as checking availability and coordinating appointments. You can disconnect integrations through available account controls or by contacting support. Third-party providers may apply their own privacy terms.
8. Children
SOMOS business accounts are not intended for children to create or administer. Businesses may record appointments involving minors where legally permitted and subject to their own responsibilities.
9. International access
Information may be processed in the United States or other places where service providers operate, subject to applicable law and contractual protections.
10. Changes
We may update this policy periodically. We will publish the revised policy with an updated effective date and provide additional notice when required.
